Today is "house blessing" day. I'm putting it off. If you aren't familar with the term check out the Fly Lady at www.flylady.net The emails are too much but the principles are good. Basically if you do a little every day, cleaning is not so overwhelming. With 5 kids, it's still overwhelming but I can make my house look decent with an hour of straight cleaning. Clutter is not an issue here, I'm so anti-packrat that my dh complains I throw too much stuff away.
I'm dying to write, dang NaNoWriMo is still days away. Which is good because those pesky Halloween costumes still haven't made themselves yet. Why I can't be one of those moms who buys costumes from the store is beyond me. It's one of those dumb traditions I've made for myself (like jars of homemade jam as Christmas gifts) . Everyone loves it so I can't quit now. Don't get me wrong, I love making the costumes and the kids like it too, I just don't like the pressure of having to make them. Make sense? No? It doesn't to me either. *shrugs*
