We've been hit by a drive by!
Greg noticed a long line of something gooey on the driver's side of the minivan this morning (it was parked on the street). So he starts grumbling about glue and rotten luck and why do these things always happen to him. He's pretty funny when he does this, it's hard not to laugh. So I quietly listened to him suggest ways for me to get it off (Goof Off, UnDo, etc). And to test a spot first! Then he drove off in the new van to price a dvd system and running boards (cause this van is like 3 feet off the ground! lol).
Now I pride myself on being able to get rid of stains. Crayon on walls? WD40. Fingernail polish remover for markers. UnDo is awesome for sticky stuff. I love the new bleach gel pens. Spot Shot for carpets and fabrics. Oxyclean for clothes. Mr. Clean Magic Eraser for the walls (when simple soap and water doesn't work). It's rare when I come across a stain I can't remove.
So I gathered up the supplies: Goof Off, UnDo, paper towels and a bucket of water. For the hell of it, I wet a paper towel and tried it on the stain. It came off red on the paper towel. Hmmm... I scratched some off with my fingernail. Ah-ha! As a mom of 5 french fry loving kids, it's easy to recognize hardening ketchup. The minivan is red so that's why I didn't figure it out sooner. A few minutes of scrubbing later and the spot was gone.
What ever happened to TP'ing?
