Let the painting begin!
Since we are still planning to put the house on the market this summer (although Greg says we should probably wait until next year to move, I'm not sure what the logic is with putting out a sign this year then. It's better not to ask questions, methinks), I decided everything could use a new coat of paint. And then I realized I haven't painted anything for 5 years! And we moved into this house 5 years and 1 month ago! I don't remember painting being too hard the first time around although back then we only had furniture for 4 rooms and 3 kids (a toddler and two infants). *counts 5 children with every room full of furniture* Eek, what did I just get myself into?
So the plan is to paint the toy room tonight (I spackled last week) and then the family room tomorrow night. Unfortunately I forgot to consult with Greg on the colors for the master bedroom and the boys' room so those two rooms will have to wait until next week (unless I get bored and start emailing Greg scans of paint chips). In the time being I have the rest of the house plus woodwork and trim to retouch. Oh and the carpet should be installed soon. And I need to pick out my new stove/oven. Exciting times here, let me tell you.
