Things I forgot from the last time I painted...
Don't wear glasses. *furiously rubs paint splatters off lenses*
Don't talk on the phone unless you want as much paint on the wall as on yourself and the floor.
Pull the blue tape off while the paint is still wet.
Buy a taller step stool. *rubs kink in neck*
Make sure all the legos are picked up off the floor first.
Bring the gallon of paint into the room to avoid four trips out to the garage to refill roller pan.
A toddler and two infants may have been stressful but nothing compared to three school aged children who can talk:
"Wha'cha doing?"
--Painting.
Five minutes later:
"Wha'cha doing?"
--*grumble* Painting!
"When can we come into the toy room?"
--Tomorrow.
"It looks dry."
--It's not, don't tou... *grumble* Let's go wash your hands.
"You missed a spot."
--*sarcasm* Thanks.
"It's three!" (snack time)
--I'm almost done.
"You got paint on the floor."
--It's okay, go play.
"It's three oh six!"
--*grumble* A few more minutes.
"Wha'cha doing?"
--What's it look like?
"I dunno."
--*sigh* Painting!
"You got paint on your arm."
--Okay, thanks, go play.
"It's three oh nine!"
--You'll get snack when you get snack, you're not going to starve!
"You got paint on your clothes."
--It's okay, go play in the other room!
"It's three fourteen!"
--*grumble*
"Wha'cha doing?"
--ARGH!
