This would be filed under "I'm an idiot" if I had nifty categories. Which I don't but that's another rant for another day.
Well first totally unrelated to the idiot part, Greg got home at 2:30 this morning. No, he wasn't out with the boys or anything cool like that. That's the time the airlines decided to get him here from Denver. Yesterday I told him he should look up Lee at the Denver airport but then in the next rambling breath before Greg could ask who the hell Lee was, I said "oh nevermind, he's having a baby today!" Go look, Jayne is such a cutie! I'm not having newborn envy. Really. Well not much... Aw, who am I kidding? I so am. *sigh* Just look how tiny and perfect she is!
Anyway back to the idiot part. This afternoon the kids and I are driving to my aunt's house in Indiana to pick up their dog. I completely forgot I had said "sure we'll watch Copper" a few months ago when she asked us to dog-sit. This is the same aunt who gave us gerbils because I'm an idiot and said "sure we'll take some", thinking that the gerbils wouldn't mate. The idiot part this time is that we're watching Copper for 3 weeks. 4th of July falls in those 3 weeks. We were sort of planning to go to my parents house for that weekend (4 1/2 hour drive one way). I can't kennel Copper nor can I leave him and Ranger alone for 3 days with the neighbor kid watering/feeding them (Ranger can be a little too playful, he's a big 80lb lab, Copper is a little 20lb terrier mutt). And I'm not taking two dogs along with us. Doh... I'm an idiot.
