I'm kinda bored this morning. I could probably do a load of laundry and I plan to mop the kitchen floor after lunch. The kids are happily playing with Kyle's new birthday toys (which are perfect! no noise, no batteries, no small parts! thank you, present givers!) so they don't want to play with me. *sigh*

I'm back at one of my project crossroads. There are no immediate projects that need to be done since I finished Greg's jean quilt. I won't start Halloween costumes until October and NaNoWriMo isn't until November. I watched the Good Eats episode last night on jam making (I've seen it before) so maybe I'll make up a couple of batches as a head start to Christmas gift giving.

Writing-wise I've kinda lost interest in my Unofficial Guide if you hadn't noticed. I think I've ran out of safe and easy topics that wouldn't be stepping on anyone's toes. I'd hate to tell anyone how to raise their kids but after a little bit of experience with my 5, I do like to make light hearted suggestions that might help out others. But try suggesting the CIO (crying it out) method to some people and they yell as if you had told them to add bleach to the baby's formula. I don't know, I need to think harder I suppose.

And there's always scrapbooking. I'm exactly a year behind on all of the kids' books. I pulled out Kyle's album so the company could flip through it if they wanted and I received a couple of joking comments about how Kyle obviously hasn't done anything for the last year. But hey, it's two-thirds complete! Course he did just turn 3... Feasibly I do have the creative energy to catch up the books but I think Greg would completely freak if I spent $300 on pictures and who knows how much on supplies to do it. Right now $20 a month isn't such a shock on the budget.

Anyway enough rambling, the dishwasher just stopped and it's almost time to make lunch and get Em and Ally ready for kindergarten. I hope you all are having a lovely Monday!
