Happy Mother's Day to everyone!
I received my gifts early, Emily and Ally gave me planted flowers in decorated pots and Zach gave me "Can-Do Coupons" (to do little things around the house) on Friday. Yesterday Greg took Em and Ally shopping and came home with a lovely wooden beach for the front porch and a beautiful silver charm bracelet. Oh and new Play Station 2 because our other died. hehe Zach and Ally also made little books at school for me (not sure why Emily didn't, she has a different teacher though), here's a sample from each:
"I love my mom because she always takes me to McDonalds and gets me what I want (cheeseburger ketup [ketchup] pickle only). And she always takes me to see grandma's house, she tucks me [into bed] and she loves me too. My mom is good at cooking and scrapbooking. She is good at scrapbooking because she has made seven scrapbooks. She is good at cooking because she makes our meals every time." -Zach
"I love my mother becauze [because] my mom iz [is] nuiz [nice] and I love mom beauze she maus [makes] popcorn. My mother iz good at baxiball [basketball] and my mom iz good at cookin [cooking]." -Ally
UPDATE: I found Emily's "My Mommy Book" in a pile of stuff she pulled out of her backpack and hid behind a chair. (No idea...) So here's Emily's take:
"My mommy is funny when she go [goes] to the sor [store]. My mommy is happy when it [is] hr [her] batrdae [birthday]. I like to have a prtya [party] with my Mommy." -Emily
So thank you Greg, Zach, Emily, Ally, Kyle, and Kelly for a wonderful Mother's Day! Also a big thank you to my sister-in-law who stayed with the kids last night so Greg and I could go to a friend's party and for getting up with the kids this morning and making pancakes. I love you all. :)
