Mum's the word
$90 worth! I love fall colors and since the outside of this house needs a little love (as my sister-in-law put it), today I bought mum plants at the Home Depot. Rusty red and bright yellow ones to go in three big planters (that I also bought) along the front steps. And also some to go in the two window box type planters already on the back deck. (There are no flower beds dug here. I'm not sure if I want to go to that much effort, I might just continue container gardening.)
I wonder if this part of Maryland has a dramatic change of color in the fall. There are certainly enough trees but I fear too many of them are coniferous.
