Woot! I finished my first "intermediate" knitting project! Although actually... This is the second time I've finished this. The first shrug was too small and I decided I didn't like the yarn when I finished. (Anyone want an itchy country blue shrug pre-teen size?) I'm beginning to see a pattern with my knitting (sorry for the pun). My first attempt is just that, I'm never happy until I rip the whole thing apart and knit it a second time with a bunch of little changes that I didn't like about the original pattern. (I suppose the Booga Bag was the exception to the rule.)
Here's the pattern although I substituted Cascade's Eco Wool in Ecru for the Lion Brand yarn (Just say "No" to acrylic!). The gauges aren't quite the same so I had to do a bunch of calculations to get everything to work. I also made the sleeves longer than the pattern suggests so it looks more like their picture (go figure...) But it is done! And I am happy! And I really need to do something with my hair...
