Today is brag about Greg day.
Greg's back in school! (Kelly and I feel so left out.)
Back in June Greg decided he was ready to get his MBA. Of course after all the deadlines and FAFSA's and so on were due. He found a program he liked but there was a waiting list. So he drove down to apply anyways and talked to people at the university and they were willing to work around everything. Step one he needed to take the GMAT. So he studied and took the test in July. He aced the verbal with like 93%. But the math... Let's just say it was really bad and the two scores together were a bit above 110%. But no problem, he talked to the university again and they were okay with it.
Did I mention he also never received his bachelor's degree?
See this is where Greg amazes me. He can sell a drowning man water. How in the world he can get himself into a top rated MBA program with no bachelor's, past the deadlines, with waiting list, and a crappy math GMAT score is beyond me. But he figures out a way and does it and I'm so proud of him, there aren't even words for it.
He's at his first "Immersion Weekend" right now and in another week has his first "Immersion Week." These "Immersion Weeks" are in cool places like Europe, Asia, and South America (the first one is in Washington DC). I'm telling you, I don't know how Greg does it...
So if you could take a minute and congratulate Greg, I'm so thrilled for him. Lately I've been joking that I'm along for the ride to see what crazy thing he's going to do next. Save June 13 2009 for a huge graduation party!
Just don't mention Tar Heels or Powder Blue. He kinda forgot to look into school mascots and colors before applying. *winks*
