We had one of those mornings again.

It was compounded by the fact I was kinda late getting up. I had a whole slew of nightmares, like short films, one right after another so when it was finally light out I could sleep easy because it's not all dark and scary. The only problem is when it's light out, I'm suppose to be out of bed. So our bad morning was condensed into 15 minutes. Except the bus was early so it was more like 10 minutes. It's arriving earlier than the scheduled time every few weeks which is a total PITA. Like a weird Bus Daylight Savings Time thing, in minutes instead of hours. And we never spring forward. Oh wait, it's taking my kids away from me sooner, why am I complaining? Anyway it was not a pleasant morning to say the least.

Oh you want details? Well...

Kyle wet the bed because I forgot to take him potty before I went to bed because I stayed up late (oh wait, really only 11:30pm, my normal bedtime when Greg's home only he's not home so that is late for me on my own) trying to figure out how I'm going to sew enough stuff for a craft show on March 30th that I insanely signed up for yesterday. Sure that's 19 days away except we're spending next week house hunting in Indiana which loses me 7 days. Or really 9 because I need a day at the beginning to pack and clean (who am I kidding?) and a day at the end to unpack (again who am I kidding?) So 10 days to sew and bake cookies. Cause I also volunteered to help with the bake sale there. Hi, my middle name is "Crazy." Back to the sewing, I keep practically nothing in stock and sew to order which sometimes bites me in the butt like when I was sick with the "real flu bug" the last two weeks. I'm finally caught up though. Just in time to do something to earn more money and gain exposure stupid like this. Where was I? Oh right, this morning.

Ally and Emily couldn't find jeans which is a total reversal of last week when they couldn't find any shirts. Now I haven't changed my method of laundry and all the clothes that were in the laundry hampers were cleaned on Saturday. I know by the amount of laundry I do for them that they have more than 2 outfits. In fact they have at least 3 pairs of jeans each because that's how many they were gifted at Christmas. I'm pretty sure they didn't wear jeans for tops last week but that's about the only way I can account for the weird clothing physics happening here. By the way? I noticed Zach wearing Kyle's jeans out the door this morning but didn't have time to make him change because the bus was early. He's ready for a flood. And also to make Greg cringe in Utah, Kyle didn't match this morning. Kyle only wears track pants which is why it's no big deal when Zach wears his jeans. Other than they are 4 inches too short. But the problem is Kyle doesn't usually take the time to match his track pants to the shirt they go with (and all track pants come with matching shirts, it's the Track Pant Suit Law). He aims for nearly the same color, (today navy) and ignores that the secondary colors are all wrong. In this case, white striped shirt with yellow striped pants. The problem is that this is going to happen again in near future because the yellow striped shirt will be leftover to wear with the white striped pants.

So onto breakfast. Ha! Zach actually ate a bowl of cereal and Emily started to but then spilled the Cheerios everywhere and I made her clean them up but she had already poured the milk so when she finished whining cleaning, the Cheerios were soggy and she couldn't eat it. Kyle refused at first but I saw him with a cereal bar wrapper as I was running through the house to locate lunch money so I'll call it good. I don't know what happened to Ally because the bus was early. (Freaking bus...)

Somehow the girls found pants (or they are wearing shirts on their legs, who knows, it was all a blur), the kids grabbed their backpacks that I had shoved lunch money and random folders into (Kyle may have Emily's library book and I'm pretty sure Ally's spelling book is still on the floor) but not Zach's trombone after we had a 2.2 minute discussion of the weekly band schedule (which is a long time when you have 15 10 minutes in the first place). And then bonus Emily couldn't find her shoes. Um... Everyone with me! "If you put your shoes where they belong then you will always know where they are." In an amazing non-whining dramatic moment, she grabbed her play shoes from the garage but missed the bus on its first swing through the neighborhood (we live on a cul-de-sac). The only reason I know she's still not at the end of the driveway is because Zach called 15 minutes later saying he did have band after all and therefore could I please bring in his trombone? Which ironically I found right next to Emily's school shoes (about 2 feet from where the shoes are suppose to be).

I'm going to blame this all on the time change and not because I can't get my lazy butt out of bed before 8am every morning.
