As hard as it is to believe I've found a few things that I miss about Maryland.
I miss the Staples next to Target next to the grocery store in Maryland. My new Indiana Target is a stand alone building here and Staples is miles away. I've always really hated the idea of driving from one parking lot to another all day long so I miss that Maryland shopping plaza.
I miss being a hop, skip, and a jump away from Washington DC. We probably made a dozen trips into the city and it's kinda cool hanging out in a world known city. Cause as much as I love Indiana, I'm not sure anyone beyond the USA borders knows about it. This "miss" hit me the other day when I was listening to National Treasure 2 (the kids were watching it in the van while I was driving, hence I was only able to listen). The characters were in the Library of Congress and I thought, oh we should go see that! And then I realized instead of being 45 minutes away, DC is now 10 hours away. Hmm, guess we won't be popping in there over the weekend then. Greg also pointed out we never saw a show at the Kennedy Center. I blame his travel schedule. He blames my inability to pick up the phone and schedule a babysitter.
