Still teetering on being overwhelmed.

If I hadn't mentioned it before, my darling wonderful husband had the garage floor epoxied. The day we moved in. Which meant all the garage items (shelves, camping gear, his tools, work bench, etc) couldn't go into the garage for at least 2 days. So the movers placed all that stuff in the dining room and front room. (What's that room called anyways? Living room? Parlor? Stupid little room that isn't good for much?)

Anyway it's safe to put the stuff in the garage now and unfortunately I'm without the 4 burly guys who packed and moved all this stuff in the first place (i.e. the boxes are a lot heavier than I would have packed them myself). Course it's starting to drive me nuts that this stuff is in the dining room and stupid little room so I'm trying to move it all out in the garage by myself.

But lately I seem to have the attention span of a gnat so I quit moving boxes and unpacked a few. But didn't quite put everything away since we needed to go grocery shopping. And when we returned home, I needed to make a meal for the kids and then I realized I should sew and oh, I should water my tomato plants (3 for $6 at Whole Foods, woot!)

Overwhelmed and scatterbrained do not go well together.

While I'm completely not doing what I'm suppose to do, a few random blog questions I will answer (and Yoda like, I want to talk):

The house: I do not take any credit for the paint or furniture. I just do what my designer says to do or buy (my father-in-law by the way, he's awesome). The kitchen is "Yogurt" but the color name is from an old paint deck so I don't recommend just asking for "Yogurt". In our Ohio house, we had something similar called "Winter Wheat." Your best bet would be to ask for the generic designer's beige and paint a swatch on the wall and see how it does in your lighting. (Too pink will look fleshtone, too brown will look tan, too yellow will look well, yellow) The paint itself is Lowes Valspar Signature Series in eggshell. I don't like flat paint (shows everything, doesn't scrub well) and I spent the extra bucks for one coat coverage. And it's truly one coat, I would have painted 2 if necessary but one worked perfectly. (Then again I did prime everything too.)

The archives: I have the archives set up goofy (i.e. not correctly) so I have to manually move the files around and type in the codes for you to be able to see them. Obviously it's a monthly To Do list type thing that I don't quite get around to monthly.

The drivers license: I will go back when I don't have the kids with me. There are a few neighborhood girls who have offered to babysit and I will either do that or wait for Greg to return home. I'm not so upset about it now and your comments really helped me feel like less of a doofus head.

And with that I need to go clean/unpack/move boxes/sew/cook/water plants/run errands/hide in a corner knitting socks...
