This is me trying not to be completely overwhelmed.
The movers are scheduled to start between 8:30 to 10am today (nice window...) And from there I think it will be all downhill. And not necessarily in a good way.
Issue #1: I need to kick them out by 2pm because I have to take Zach to the airport again for another round of hockey try-outs. (We actually aren't leaving exactly at 2pm, I'm giving myself a little leeway time and this is relevant to Issue #2.) There is no way I'm leaving our teenage babysitter and my kids in the house with the movers. I'm sure they'll all be lovely and upstanding citizens but the potential disaster is too great so out they go at 2pm.
Issue #2: A realtor wants to show the house from 1 to 3pm. I told the listing agent that I'm okay with it if they are okay with me being in the house along with the movers. I can't exactly kick the movers out yet another hour early especially since they may only get in 4 hours of packing as is. I didn't exactly get a yes or no from the agent on that so we'll see.
Issue #3: Blue Kitty Designs. I kinda hate to lose the revenue for a week but I also don't think I can handle the stress of getting out orders in a timely fashion. Currently I plan to "close" (temporarily remove the listings from Etsy) for a week or two but we'll see how it goes after the movers are in and out. I also have the Stitches Midwest show that I can't afford to lose a week of sewing time either. So at the moment I'm keeping most of the fabric and notions as well as the sewing machine and already sewn products with me (and iron and ironing board, the list is a bit longer than I like actually). Good thing I drive a 12 passenger van, huh?
Issue #4: I think there was another issue but my brain is leaking out of my ear now so I think I'll go knit a sock instead. (Knitting a sock for me equals keeping my sanity slightly intact.)
