And so it begins.

Last Friday night I joined the ranks of all those crazy parents who go to great lengths to keep their children happy. I went out after dark, stayed up past my bedtime, and waited in line to buy...

Brisinger, the 3rd book in the Inheritance series by Christopher Paolini

(What? You thought I was going to say something crazy like Hanna Montana tickets?)

For the record, Zach went with me. He's read Eragon and the Eldest like 5 times each (possibly 6 at this point) and he's heard me do sorta crazy things to buy the last 2 Harry Potter books. And as you know it is really fun to wait in line and be the first to buy something, be it a book or concert tickets. Our local Barnes and Nobles employees dressed up, had games to play, and gave out door prizes. And I browsed the craft section books while we waited for midnight. (Who says it had to be all about that Brisinger book? lol)

I also figure books and reading are worth a little extra effort and encouragement. And it was a bit fun to see him so excited. But the jury is still out on any concerts that involve songs played on Radio Disney...
