This idea was inspired by Pez's Summer O'Fun from last year. I'm one of those people who always says "it would be awesome if we did this" or "we should totally do that!" and then when it comes to the actual doing, nothing ever happens. But this year will be different! I have a list!

The rules are super simple. It's summer, it's got to be easy! I have 50 activities planned, one per weekday (take the weekends off, you deserve it) starting Monday June 12th and ending Friday August 18th. So 10 weeks of fun stuff! I will post the week's list here on Sunday evening so you can plan ahead. And of course you don't have to do Tuesday's activity on Tuesday. Heck if it's an outdoor one and it's pouring buckets that day, I won't be doing Tuesday's on Tuesday either!

No activity will be too outrageous or expensive like "Fly to Paris and sketch the Eiffel Tower." In fact, you might already be doing some of the suggestions like "Breakfast for Dinner." I've also tried to pick activities that won't bore Zach (almost 9 years old) but yet Kelly (3 1/2 years old) can still participate. Remember the purpose of the list is to gently remind you of the fun stuff that you could be doing with the kids instead of the normal boring rut we all tend to fall into when there are bills to be paid and piles of laundry to do.

And you don't have to have children to join! You can be the kid! I'm actually really psyched to do some of these things myself. Summer is the perfect excuse to let your playful side out a little more often. And of course you don't have to do everything if you join (leave a comment, I'll put you on the blogroll list on the right), pick and choose what will work best for you. Like I said, it's summer, let's have fun!

Are you ready? Here we go!
