Make Pizzas: One of my kids' favorite dinners! Buy pre-made crusts, frozen (follow directions on package) or make your own (basic recipe). Then buy lots of toppings and cheese. For something a little different, try a Hawaiian pizza with pineapple and ham. Make a smiley face with pepperonis. Bake and enjoy!

Bubbles! What's summer without bubbles? Buy pre-made solution or make your own (basic recipe). Try making fun wand shapes out of pipe cleaners (aka chenille stems). With practice you can blow bubbles with just your index finger and thumb. Who can blow the most bubbles from one dip? Try to catch a bubble on your wand. The best part about bubbles is that it's just soap, add water and you have clean kids!
Fleck Household Update: The kids spilled all the bubble mix in about 10 seconds... *sigh*
Library Classics Day: Let's go to the library! Today I want you to find the classics that you read as a child to share with your children. No Goosebumps, no "That's so Raven", no *gasp* Harry Potter. Look for Nancy Drew, Tom Sawyer, Charlotte's Web, the Little House on the Prairie series. For more ideas, check the Penguin Classics Children's Library list. Also while you are at the library, see if they have a summer reading program. And then sign up!
Make and Send Postcards: This is a great and inexpensive way to keep in touch with friends and family. Go to your post office and ask for pre-stamped blank post cards or order online here. Have your kids draw and write their message on the blank side. Then simply address on the other and drop into the mail. Easy as pie!
PJ Day! The concept is simple enough, stay in your PJ's all day! And since you are in your PJ's, you can't go out right? Snuggle under blankets to watch TV and read books. Order in dinner. Be lazy, it's PJ Day!
